The 2025 season is in full swing, so much has been happening on so many fronts, we welcomed the start of the new Midlands Super Series with the new title Sponsor DC Cycles, also supported by ICE Bikes. As the Chair of the Midlands BMX region, I’ve been leading this progression as I find more brands we can work with to support great racing.

The Schwalbe British 4X series has officially started and I’ve been part of the media team for both race series. Helping Scott with his social media content, I’ve took a driving seat with the British 4X You Tube channel, it’s still early days as the strategy I’ve created has only been live a couple of weeks, but we’ve seen over 300% increase in views, subscribers and engagement.

My social media platform The Head Angle has hit the ground running in the new year, with new uploads multiple times a week I’m seeing growth and numbers bigger than ever. It’s no secret that the bike industry has been struggling in general, so I’ve really expanded the content I produce as I look to create more reviews and product/brand based content, typically this isn’t the best performing content in the short term but over time it serves to be more evergreen material which I hope helps the industry and builds long term relationships with brands and companies.

I recently continued my regular slot on the 96 Podcast with Scott Beaumont, which is always fun as we review the 4X race weekend and look forward to jumping into something new this weekend when I attend The Dirty Reiver Gravel Bike event.

After what seemed like a winter that lasted forever there’s a real buzz about the 2025 season, several riders which I work with are really coming into form, I continue to mentor and support Jake Hart as he looks to defend his 2024 National 4X title, he makes the move to Junior Men this year on both the Mountain Bike and BMX, George Hunt another ambassador for The Head Angle is possibly the most talked about rider in BMX at the moment and his start to the 2025 season was quite spectacular.
